Your Social Work Success Path Is…
The Career Phase

Here's what this Success Path means for your career…
You’re unique and hard-working. When you’re ready to make a career change, you like things steady and predictable. You value consistent standards, clear expectations, and simple processes. You like to know what's coming ahead, so you're not completely caught off guard.
In the workplace, you dedicate so much of your time and energy to sharing your knowledge and resources with others that you should get an award. You don’t do it for recognition though, you do it because fairness, eliminating barriers, equitable access and service are a few of your most important personal values.

Genuineness and authentic sharing are your love languages. You believe that work environments would function much better if people would just operate from a place of understanding and compassion. You believe that others should be open to change when their values begin to impact the wellbeing and livelihood of disadvantaged groups.
You’re a creative and analytical at the same time and you love inspiring your clients to dream without limits, and to explore all of the possibilities that life has to offer. You don't believe in living in boxes. You view your career as your life's mission... that centers around helping others discover their unique purpose in the world, while building their confidence and skills to achieve in life.
It’s no wonder you’re such an amazing Social Worker (even though you feel like there’s always more help to give and better ways that agencies can meet the needs of clients.)

Why is it so difficult to make good money with a Social Work degree?
One of the major misconceptions Social Workers have is that they must be licensed to make decent money or that they have to work in a Case Management position before they can transition into any other type of work. I created this quiz to help you identify "soft pivots" at each level of social work practice, that can create a smoother transitions using the transferable skills that you already have. In my years of being a Social Worker at all levels of practice, I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries both using my degree and without. Take it from me, this list is just a modest sample of the opportunities out there for Social Workers.
One of the reasons Social Workers find it challenging to navigate their careers is because they never made a clear plan for themselves. They typically jump straight from an internship and start applying for jobs, or they follow what they see other Social Workers doing, without mapping out a success path based on their own unique interest, passions and skill sets. Social Work was suppose to be the career that helped you tackle real social problems, but what happens when you love the work, but hate your agency. My mission is to help open your eyes to many possibilities NOW, so you don't have to spend your time working in over 20+ Social Work position (like I did).
I created the 25+ page Career Clarity Guide for Social Workers, Therapist and Helping professions to be your career clarity starting point. A starting point, meaning you are able to identify where you are now, where you want to go and what is required to get there. This will be specific for your career goals. It can be that you need clarity around how to transition from one position to the next, how to secure a promotion, move from internship to entry level position, entry level to leadership, or micro to macro.
This is your jumpstart to mapping out where you are, and where you want to go next. I don't want you to have excuses to talk yourself out of having this as part of your intentional career planning, so I've even dropped its cost to the ultra-affordable price of $9. Yes, the cost of getting clear on your available career opportunities are the same as your favorite pastry and latte!

I transitioned into private practice due to an unsupportive work environment and feeling pigeon held around the work that I truely wanted to do. I knew I never wanted to leave the Social Work profession, but I also knew that I HAD to find another way to achieve success. After having no resources to support my own career transitions, I vowed to create a community to help others facing the same difficult career decisions. To date, over 15,000 like-minded Social Workers have explored opportunities in various stages of their career.
The detailed quiz results are designed to give you an action plan based on where you’re at in your Social Work career journey.
No more guessing games and endless Google searches. Your path to becoming a thriving Social Work professional starts here.
